Asked about the military families who say she does not represent them, [Cindy] Sheehan replied: "I never said I did."

i find that difficult to square with the fact that the crosses bearing the names of fallen soldiers remain one of the centerpieces of camp casey.

unless specific permission were requested and granted by families of those soldiers, those at camp casey indeed presume to speak for them by including their names at an anti-war protest.
